T.s. " Cardinal. " Cardinal is a compact shrub with distinct large red dome shaped flowers, the style and stigmas are a similar colour, giving the flower an overall even colour, the broad and flaring bracts are a similar colour. Flowering time is mid season.
Leaves are green and moderate in size and serration. The original plant lived over 45 years with over 120 blooms each year, a very attractive clone.
